Elm Dining or Centre Table - Sold
This dining table has a base hollowed from the trunk of an ancient Elm tree. Due to the ravages of Dutch Elm in the 1970s this trunk is a rare piece of timber and unlikely to be repeated. However the workshop does have the other half of this trunk for a similar commission so if you want to snap up something truly unique please contact us to discuss your requirements.
This section of elm trunk supports the sub-frame made from stainless steel. It has been designed to support the burr elm veneer top with its toughened glass insert but also to appreciate the beauty and rarity of the hollowed Elm base.
The illustrated table has sold but the workshop retains the remaining section of trunk allowing for a similar table can be made to suit requirements. Contact us to discuss and to reserve this unique survivor.
Example table:
Diameter: 1830 mm (72 in)
Height: 740 mm (29 in)
SOLD (Contact us to discuss a table using the remaining trunk)
